LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE Building Safety Monitor 10AM-6PM

THIS IS A LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE POSITION FROM NOVEMBER-JANUARY

Summary: The School Safety Monitor will play an integral role in creating and maintaining a warm, welcoming,

and safe environment for all students, employees, and visitors. This position is full time from 10 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

when school is in session.

Major Responsibilities:

Monitors building to ensure the well-being of students, staff, and visitors.

Detect and report unauthorized or suspicious persons and activities.

Notify the appropriate supervisor of any emergency, potentially dangerous, or unusual situations.

Ensure smooth traffic flow and direct student movement between class periods and at other transition times.

Observes and reports any damage, graffiti and maintenance issues to school property;

Maintains a positive relationship with students, staff and the community;

Ensure BRCPS facilities are secured after school hours.

Receive, organize and notify staff of delivered packages.

Supervise late parent pick up for BRCPS students.

Generate letters to frequent late parent pick up parents.

Ensure late parent pick up students are dismissed according to BRCPS process and procedures.

Assist with dismissal duty.

Additional duties may be assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Preferred Associates Degree

Must work well with peers, support teamwork, and actively engage in leadership activities.

Must be able to communicate effectively with parents and guardians verbally and in writing

Excellent organizational skills.

Pay: $125 per day for the first 30 days/ $150 per day after 30 days
