What you’ll do as a Hospice Registered Nurse: As a Hospice RN, a crucial role is delivering personalized care that focuses on comfort and quality of life. Responsibilities include: Assessing and managing patient needs: Continuously assess the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients, developing individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team. Providing expert symptom management: Administer medications and treatments, focusing on pain management and symptom control to improve the patient’s quality of life. Educating and supporting families: Be a trusted resource for families, providing education about the disease process, care options, and end-of-life decisions, while offering emotional support. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably with experience in palliative care, hospice, or oncology.
