Yard Worker
Wheeler Machinery Co. is seeking to hire a Yard Worker at their Salt Lake City, Utah location. Keep safety first in all tasks while utilizing TRACK/Tyfoom. This will be a full-time benefited position responsible for cleaning and maintaining rental equipment for our customers. Safety is the main priority of this position.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Shipping and receiving every item that comes in and out of the yard.
- Responsible for loading & unloading machinery.
- Cleaning machines and maintaining the machine storage areas.
- Responsible for keeping accurate inventory and recording damaged machines.
- Exceptional customer service
- Responsible to check in / checkout rental equipment.
- Responsible to load / unload sales dept equipment.
- Responsible for staging and performing pre-rental checks.
- Responsible for maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the yard.
- Responsible to keep rental equipment clean and in rental-ready condition.
- Responsible for all shipping/ receiving paperwork.
- Maintain, inventory sales department equipment.
- Assist rental coordinator with rental contracts.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Must be able to work safely, identify hazards, and assist in corrective activities
- Must be a self-starter and accomplish work with minimum supervision
- Excellent customer service skills are a must
- Ability to solve problems and work under pressure
- Good computer skills
- Must be flexible as schedule requires
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior shipping and receiving experience
- Prior rental experience is a benefit
