Job Summary:
This Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) registered nurse position is located in New Britain, Connecticut. The role involves providing complex rehabilitation care with cardiac monitoring, primarily in a specialized medical environment distinct from traditional medical-surgical units. The nurse will work twelve-hour night shifts, with every other weekend required, and will have the opportunity to assist with a range of clinical procedures across multiple units, including respiratory and vented patients.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: RN licensure, minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical environment, experience with respiratory/vented patients strongly preferred, BLS certification required, ACLS preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The RN will be responsible for IV starts, drips, administration of blood, EKGs, medication titrations, glucose monitoring, wound vac changes, and both complex and simple wound dressings. Additional duties include trach care, suctioning, straight catheter and Foley care, port access, central line dressing, and wound measurements. Experience with respiratory or vented patients should be highlighted in the candidate profile. Nurses are not responsible for managing ventilators, as RTs handle ventilator management.
