This role combines deep technical expertise, hands-on delivery leadership, and strategic thinking to build scalable, secure, and high-performing AI systems.The ideal candidate will own end-to-end AI architecture, guide engineering teams, and partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into production-ready AI solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesAI Architecture & Solution DesignDesign and own end-to-end AI/ML architectures, including LLM-based systems, RAG pipelines, and AI agentsDefine scalable, modular, and secure AI system architectures, ensuring alignment with enterprise standardsLead the transition from PoC to production AI deployments with a strong focus on reliability and performance Technical LeadershipLead AI engineering teams and provide hands-on guidance across development lifecycleEstablish best practices for AI development, including coding standards, testing, validation, and MLOpsConduct design reviews, code reviews, and solution governanceAI Development & ImplementationBuild and deploy AI solutions using modern frameworks (LLMs, NLP, computer vision, ML models)Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems, APIs, and cloud platformsImplement orchestration layers, agent workflows, and automation capabilitiesStakeholder CollaborationPartner with product, business, and client stakeholders to define AI use cases and roadmapsTranslate business requirements into scalable AI solutions and technical designsAct as a trusted advisor for AI adoption and transformation initiatives Governance, Security & ComplianceEnsure responsible AI practices, including ethics, bias mitigation, data privacy, and regulatory complianceDefine guardrails, standards, and governance frameworks for AI usage Innovation & Thought LeadershipEvaluate emerging AI technologies and frameworksDrive innovation through reusable components, accelerators, and frameworksContribute to pre-sales, solutioning, and capability building Required Skills & Experience10+ years of experience in software engineering, with 4+ years in AI/ML solutionsStrong hands-on experience with:LLMs (GPT, open-source models), prompt engineeringRAG architectures, embeddings, and vector databasesAI orchestration frameworks and agentic systemsExperience designing and deploying production-grade AI systems Proficiency in Python, ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, etc.)Strong cloud experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP AI/ML services)Experience with APIs, microservices, and distributed architecturesFamiliarity with MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, and model lifecycle managementLeadership & Soft SkillsProven ability to lead and mentor technical teamsStrong communication skills with both technical and executive stakeholdersAbility to influence architecture decisions and drive adoptionExperience working in agile, cross-functional teamsGood to HaveExperience working in consulting or client-facing rolesKnowledge of Responsible AI / AI governance frameworksExposure to domain-specific AI (Financial Services, Healthcare, etc.)Certifications in AI/ML or cloud platformsThe base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $100000 to $130000 Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws.
