The Work: Lockheed Martin is seeking a talented Level 3 Ground Software Engineer with an active Final Top Secret security clearance to work from our Littleton, CO location. We are looking for software engineers to craft and build innovative solutions for our customers. You will be part of an Agile team that utilizes state of the art commercial standard methodologies such as DevSecOps (automated testing, continuous integration, automated deployment, etc.) and modern development tools. You will participate in progressing system capabilities from early design through site acceptance focused on software reuse, COTS/FOSS integrations, and innovative, affordable best practices. As a member of a hard-working team that are passionate about their trade, focused on mission and system quality, and supportive of timely delivery of features and capabilities. As Ground Software Engineer:

• You will design, implement, test, and maintain object-oriented ground system software applications using Java, C#, Rust, Angular, Python
• You will support modernization efforts geared toward achieving greater efficiency, security, automation and scalability
• You will collaborate with an enthusiastic team of software, systems, and test engineers using the Agile Development methodology

Selected candidates will be required to possess Active Top Secret with adjudicated SCI Eligibility (i.e. TS/SCI) prior to starting employment. This is an EARLY-MID CAREER (level 3) ROLE where candidates typically require 3+ years of professional experience and a BS degree. Desired skills:

• Meaningful experience designing and implementing software solutions using the following technologies: Java, C#, Rust, Python, Apache Kafka, Apache ActiveMQ, ELK Stack/OpenSearch, PostgreSQL, Redis, Helm, Kubernetes
• Cloud/containerization experience with a good understanding of distributed systems and designing for scalability
• Experience developing microservices
• Proficient in using Git for version control and collaboration
• Working knowledge of DevSecOps Pipelines
• Excellent understanding of Agile Methodologies as they relate to the Scaled Agile Framework
• Experience with Agile, automated test, CI/CD, and regression testing
• Committed with strong problem-solving skills applied to software engineering solutions
• Experience with back end development and algorithms
• Previous experience delivering highly reliable Communications / Ground subsystems

• Work Schedule Information: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $93,200 - $164,450. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
