Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Schedule: 12-hour day shifts (06:45 - 19:15), 36 or 48 hours per week available. Every other weekend required. Float within Women's Services as needed.

Highlights:

• High-volume Labor & Delivery unit with 400+ births per month and 21 patient rooms
• 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio with comprehensive care from triage through delivery and recovery
• Epic charting system with full interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory, radiology, and social services
• 13-week contract assignment; first-time travelers welcome
• Scrubs provided; 2-day unit orientation plus OR training included
• Manage complex cases including preterm labor, multiple gestations, preeclampsia, postpartum hemorrhages, and high-risk deliveries

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Experience with at least 400 births per month in previous role
• Current BLS, AWHONN Intermediate (or Advanced), and NRP certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Proficiency in labor inductions, multiple IV drips (Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, insulin), epidural management, and postpartum hemorrhage protocols
• Must be able to circulate AND recover C-sections in the OR setting
• IV start and maintenance skills required; experience with central lines, PCAs, and infusion pumps
• Active North Carolina RN license or multistate Compact license
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
