Lead Childcare Teacher

Little Stepping Stones is a licensed childcare center seeking a Lead Teacher to support the following age groups: Toddlers Preschool School Age To be QUALIFIED for the Lead Teacher opportunity, we require a high school diploma and the ability to pass all background checks. We also require an associate or a bachelor's degree in early childhood education, psychology, or a related field. A plus if you have previous childcare experience and experience working with two's or preschool! Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm OR 8:30am - 5:30pm Please note: The School Age Teacher position requires applicants to be at least 23 years of age and possess a valid driver's license, as driving is an essential function of the role. Our Hiring Process for Lead Preschool Teachers: Resumescreen Phone screen with recruiter (30 minutes) On-site interview with Center Director (30-60 minutes) Q&A Classroom observation Offer Main Job Responsibilities for Lead Preschool Teachers: Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides. Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carryout lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Useour parent communication appefficiently. Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children. Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; andmaintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom. Maintaina child assessment and portfoliofor each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May. Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing,walking,running,and climbing stairs. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role. Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
