This is a per diem position at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. Responsibilities Note: The original description emphasizes the role as an RN First Assistant in cardiac surgery and perioperative settings. Assist as RN First Assistant in perioperative cardiac surgery settings, including scrubbing and circulating duties as appropriate. Support endoscopic radial artery harvesting and endoscopic saphenous vein harvesting per surgical protocols. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. Required Criteria Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Current New York State RN license Minimum of 3 years of diversified perioperative nursing experience, both scrubbing and circulating Endoscopic radial artery harvesting Endoscopic saphenous vein harvesting BCLS certification ACLS certification CNOR certification Successful completion of a course that meets the AORN standards for RNFA education programs Benefits and Culture Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
