Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) group partners with Morgan Stanley Financial Advisors across all channels to offer full discretion portfolio management services to institutional and private clients (e.g., Defined Benefit plans, Endowments, Foundations, Ultra-High Net-Worth, Family Offices, etc.) of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.ResponsibilitiesServe as Portfolio Manager to build and manage client portfolios for OCIO's Pension clientsThe Portfolio Manager will be responsible for client portfolios' asset allocation and manager selection as well as risk management and monitoringDevelop liability-driven investing and total-return strategiesCoordinate with clients to secure relevant actuarial information to complete asset-liability and related studies and integrate results into investment strategies and asset allocationEngage with clients to perform client discovery, draft investment policy statements, provide quarterly reporting, etc.Ensure the smooth functioning of administrative and operational activities, including those involving outside custodians and trading, reporting, and client cash flowsPartner with Financial Advisors and consultants to win new clients and raise new assetsAlong with other subject matter experts, create institutional content such as white papers for advisors to use with clients and prospects to engage on topics related to the areas of expertiseQualifications5+ years' experience servicing pensions, corporations and other institutional accounts in a wealth management or investment consulting capacityExperience and knowledge in investment/wealth management platforms and vehicles, including managed account platforms, mutual funds, ETFs, separate accounts, and alternative investmentsExperience and knowledge in global capital markets, technical expertise across asset classesFirm understanding of portfolio management concepts including modern portfolio theory, asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager selection, risk management and performance attributionProficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and WordStrong organizational and project management skillsMust be very detail-oriented, with an ability to multi-task and handle multiple prioritiesExemplary verbal and written communication skillsProactive & hard working with strong professional accountabilityUndergraduate degree is requiredGraduate degree, CFA, CAIA and other professional designations are preferredFINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) licenses required or willingness to obtain within 180 days of hire (additional licensing may be required)
