Job Summary
We are seeking a Laboratory Technician Level 2 to support the Food Safety, Quality, and Operations teams by performing routine analytical and laboratory testing. This role is ideal for candidates with strong attention to detail who can work independently while maintaining compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine analytical and laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative testing and inspections with minimal supervision.
- Monitor laboratory instrumentation, perform calibration checks, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
- Accurately document and communicate test results using laboratory databases.
- Maintain customer specification documents and laboratory records.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Support more complex laboratory trials and experiments as needed.
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating procedures, maintenance instructions, and laboratory manuals.
- Prepare routine reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Escalate complex technical or quality issues to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
- Previous laboratory, quality assurance, or food manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
