Breakfast Supervisor

Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Breakfast Supervisor for Residence Inn Redondo Beach, CA.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Breakfast Supervisor is a dynamic, hands-on leadership role responsible for guiding the direction and organization of restaurant operations. This position requires a "player-coach" mentality, where the Supervisor maintains high standards of food and beverage quality as well as service by actively performing in service roles, including bartending and table service, during peak periods or as operationally required.

Beyond floor support, you will maximize profits through marketing initiatives, represent the Hotel in maintaining key business relationships, and work directly with all hotel departments to coordinate groups, events, and food and beverage service across all outlets.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The position requires the ability to perform the following essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation:

• Perform in the capacity of any position supervised (bartending or table service)
• Train, supervise, and participate in the evaluation of restaurant staff team members for efficient operation
• Continuously evaluate performance and encourage improvement of personnel
• Attend and contribute to food & beverage outlet department meetings
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards
• Ensure all equipment is in working order
• Inspect and maintain appealing restaurant facilities
• Provide guidance for improvement and implement adjustments
• Oversee work orders for timely maintenance and repairs
• Monitor product quality and guest satisfaction
• Move throughout facility and kitchen areas to ensure food quality and service standards are met
• Interact with guests to obtain feedback on service and food quality
• Investigate and resolve guest complaints promptly
• Manage inventory, forecast usage, and ensure proper stock levels (linen, glassware, etc.)
• Oversee setup of dining and service areas
• Support marketing efforts, menu ideas, specials, and competitive analysis
• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and applicable laws
• Attend mandatory meetings (departmental, divisional, staff)
• Participate in community public relations
• Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:

• Ability to obtain required certifications (e.g., food handler, alcohol service)

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• 1+ year restaurant or equivalent experience and/or 1+ year supervisory experience preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Work indoors with exposure to temperature changes, heat, steam, fire, and noise
• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs)
• Repetitive hand and wrist movements
• Use of PPE as required
• Possible exposure to hazards
• Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance

The Pay Range for this position is $19 - $21/hr.
