Laboratory Manager

Job Description Exciting opportunity to join the site R&D team in Lewisburg, OH within the Quality & Food Safety Function as the Lab Management Lead. The purpose of the role is to lead a team of lab technicians and implement effective laboratory management processes to ensure efficient delivery of services that comply with quality control and compliance. What are we looking for? Food science, Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent BSc. MSc degree is preferred. Experience of quality assurance or lab management from Food/Nutritional/Pharmaceutical or related manufacturing/testing sites. Experience in analytical or microbiology testing, knowledge and experience of GMP, GLP, and audit. People management experience. What will be your key responsibilities? Establish, follow and continuously improve quality systems in the lab. Manage routine activities related to base and finished product tests, incoming raw materials, package material checks, sensory evaluation, etc. Manage external lab testing and communicate with GAIT and regional labs. Ensure test equipment and test method transfer and validation. Implement SOP/GLPs to ensure reliability and compliance to standards. Work with the supplier management team to ensure material quality and follow up CAPAs. Maintain EHS working conditions and practice in the assigned area. What can you expect from Mars?
