About the Role Our client is seeking a diligent and experienced Logistics & Transport Officer to manage their transportation operations in Welkom . This role is fundamental to ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods, coordinating vehicle fleets, and optimizing supply chain processes. You will be responsible for overseeing daily logistics activities, ensuring compliance with safety and transportation regulations, and maintaining strong relationships with carriers and internal stakeholders. This is a key on-site position critical to the company's operational success. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee all aspects of the company's transportation fleet, including scheduling, maintenance, and compliance. Coordinate the movement of goods, ensuring timely and secure deliveries and pickups across various destinations. Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality. Negotiate contracts and terms with third-party logistics providers and transportation carriers. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations and report on performance to management. Ensure all transportation activities comply with local and national regulations and safety standards. Requirements A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics, transportation management, or a related field. Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices. Experience in managing vehicle fleets and coordinating transport operations. Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills. Proficiency in logistics software and data analysis tools.
