Join a collaborative, data-driven organization where analytics supports high-impact business decisions. The Senior Data Analyst will use advanced SAS, SQL, reporting, and data visualization expertise to transform complex datasets into actionable insights.
Senior Data Analyst Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain SAS programs for automated reporting and advanced statistical analysis.
- Design and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and data interfaces.
- Troubleshoot system issues, batch processing, application scheduling, and data workflows.
- Build dashboards and reports that track KPIs, trends, and business performance.
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
- Validate data quality, perform data cleansing, and maintain technical documentation and data dictionaries.
- Identify patterns and deliver recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
- Mentor junior analysts on SAS and SQL development standards and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of SAS programming experience , including Base SAS, SAS/STAT, macro development, PROC SQL, and data integration tools.
- 5+ years of advanced SQL experience , including complex joins, window functions, stored procedures, performance tuning, and query optimization.
- 3+ years of data visualization experience using Power BI, Tableau, or a comparable platform.
- Experience working with SQL Server, Oracle, Linux, shell scripting, file systems, and scheduling tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Master's degree in a related field.
- SAS or SQL certification.
- Healthcare or financial services experience.
- Knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning, API development, or SAS Procurement Integrity.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
