Product Test Engineer

We are seeking a Product Test Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team, where you will be instrumental in the rigorous evaluation of cutting-edge products. This role offers a unique chance to directly influence the performance and durability of highly anticipated consumer goods, working with advanced testing methodologies and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

You will immerse yourself in the world of product testing, focusing specifically on innovative footwear products. Your expertise will be vital in conducting comprehensive materials and mechanical tests, analyzing critical data, and reporting findings that guide product development. This is more than just testing; it’s about safeguarding quality, driving innovation, and helping to bring exceptional products to market. You will collaborate closely with a small, dedicated team, contributing your skills within a larger, supportive department.

What You’ll Do

• Complete standard materials and mechanical tests on products.
• Review and analyze test data to identify trends and insights.
• Generate clear and concise reports, communicating results effectively to relevant teams.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on specialized testing projects.
• Provide consultation and training to peers in your area of expertise.
• Proactively identify and recommend improvements to testing protocols and equipment for enhanced accuracy and efficiency.
• Focus on testing innovative footwear products.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a lab/testing environment, specifically with product and materials testing.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in test design, data collection, data analysis, and/or equipment design.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with statistical analysis of data.
• Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and work with minimal oversight.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Adaptable and collaborative team player.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and proactively seeking solutions.

Stand Out Qualities

• Experience with universal testing machines (UTMs) or Instron machines.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Experience with 3D printing.
• Basic knowledge of biomechanics.
