IT Project Management Senior/Specialist

Salary: $99,300 - 133,608 per year Requirements:

• We require seven years of relevant information technology experience in areas such as project management, consulting, analysis, design, programming, installation, maintenance of software applications, hardware, telecommunications, or network infrastructure, or customer/technical support.
• Alternatively, we accept a bachelors degree or higher in computer science, data management, information systems, or a related field from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or CHEA, plus five years of progressively responsible experience.

• We value senior-level project management experience leading end-to-end implementation and ongoing support of complex enterprise information systems, including ERP or similar agency-wide systems.

• We expect advanced knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management methods, with the ability to blend approaches appropriately.
• We prefer experience leading complex SQL Server upgrade efforts and domain migration projects in state government or large public-sector IT environments.
• Preferred credentials include PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certifications.
• Additional preferred experience includes production support, data, analytics, or AI-related initiatives, awareness of AI-related risks such as bias, data quality, and transparency, vendor management for AI or analytics services, infrastructure or technical certifications such as SQL Server/Database Administrator, and familiarity with Washington State IT project policies and procedures.

• We provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring in Agile and Scrum values, principles, and practices.
• We ensure Agile teams follow established DCYF Agile practices.
• We support team development, productivity, and continuous process improvement.
• We foster team empowerment so each member is engaged and contributes meaningfully.
• We collaborate with other Scrum Masters to strengthen Scrum adoption across the IT department.
