Substitute Cafeteria Worker
Reports To: Director of Food Services
Job Purpose: To assist with maintaining a clean, efficient, and safe cafeteria for students and workers.
Qualifications-Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Displays a positive, courteous attitude towards all students
- Exhibits a helpful, positive, and friendly attitude towards all associates
- Is clean, well groomed, and always wears the proper attire as per district uniform policy
- Ability to speak and understand English
- Excellent attendance and work ethic
- Able to pass the Criminal History Review
- Able to pass the Sexual Misconduct Child Abuse Disclosure
Qualifications-Desired:
- 1 year of experience as a cafeteria worker
- 1 year of experience working in a school setting
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs all kitchen duties, but not limited to serving the students at a steady pace
- Performs light food preparation, ware washing
- Performs dish washing duties
- Cleans and sanitizes dining room tables
- Maintains all health and safety standards in accordance with the Atlantic County Health Department
Working Conditions: School Building Cafeteria Lunchroom $16.50/hour Not to Exceed 29.5 hours/week
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Able to bend at the waist to pick up supplies
- Able to use arms to wipe down dining room tables
- Able to push a cart with boxes
- Able to lift 30 lbs.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
