Description

Our client, the U.S.'s largest commercial real estate services firm, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Technician to support building operations across multiple facilities in the Lake Suzy area . This is a 5-month contract role for a well-rounded maintenance professional with strong mechanical and electrical skills who enjoys troubleshooting, performing preventive maintenance, and working with a variety of building systems. This position focuses on maintaining the facility and building infrastructure rather than production equipment. The technician will work as part of a team while supporting 2-3 locations within approximately a 25-mile radius . Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM, with potential overtime.

What You'll Do

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
• Conduct routine inspections of building equipment and systems.
• Diagnose potential problems and perform necessary repairs.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using established procedures.
• Use hand tools and other equipment to complete maintenance and repair tasks.
• Review assigned work orders and track work through completion.
• Support energy management efforts by ensuring building systems operate efficiently.
• Inspect existing installations for compliance with applicable building codes and safety requirements.
• Respond to maintenance requests and address facility issues in a timely manner.
• Support building operations across multiple locations as needed.
• Communicate maintenance issues, work completed, and recommended solutions clearly and professionally.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures, company policies, and facility requirements.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Assist with additional facility maintenance responsibilities as needed.

What You'll Need

• 5+ years of general maintenance or building engineering experience.
• Well-rounded maintenance background.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Strong electrical skills.
• Experience using hand tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair building systems.
• Valid driver's license.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer and tablet skills.
• Ability to travel between supported facilities within the local area.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, bend, stoop, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
