Position open to any of the following: EMT Basic, EMT Advanced, Paramedic, LVN, or LPN for a Plasma Donation Center What’s In It for You Competitive Pay Career Growth/Promotions Geographic mobility among more than 300 donation centers No Third Shift Comprehensive Benefits Package: Medical, Dental, Vision, up to 5% 401K match, Tuition Reimbursement, PTO, Holiday Pay, Company Bonus Program participation About the Job Perform physical examination and establish medical history to determine donor suitability Build rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction Ensure donor and staff confidentiality Responsible for donor awareness of potential hazards Provide donor education regarding general health and counsel on unacceptable test results Evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events Perform evaluations of any history of illness or medications to ensure continued donor suitability Assist in employee training Administer employee Hepatitis Vaccine program Job Requirements Educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment and according to state requirements as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT. HS diploma or GED and current CPR certification required. Attributes Work performed both standing and sitting for up to 2 to 4 hours per day each. Position requires bending and twisting of neck up from 1 to 2 hours per day. Frequent hand movement with ability to make fast, simple movements of fingers, hands, and wrists. Ability to make precise coordinated movements of the fingers to grasp and manipulate objects. Frequent foot movement; may squat, crouch or sit on heels occasionally; walks, bends, and twists at waist. Light lifting of up to 15 lbs with maximum lift of 50 lbs; may reach below shoulder height. Hearing acuity essential. Color perception/discrimination, near vision and far vision correctable to 20/30 in one eye and 20/100 in the other. Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; able to listen to and understand spoken information. Works independently and within guidance of oral or written instructions. Performs a wide range of tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions. Relates sensitive information to diverse groups; work performed in a plasma center. Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms. Exposure to electrical office and laboratory equipment. Exposure to extreme cold below 32°F while performing functions in plasma freezers; personal protective equipment required (protective eyewear, garments, gloves, cold gear).
