A&P Mechanic Regular Full-Time Georgetown, SC, US Winyah Air is looking to hire an A&P Mechanic for their location in Georgetown, SC . The A&P Mechanic will be responsible for performing inspection, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft airframes, engines, and related systems to ensure airworthiness and compliance with FAA regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Inspect airframes, engines, and components for wear, damage, or defects Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance per manufacturer and FAA guidelines Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and structural systems Remove, install, and test engines, propellers, and related components Complete and sign off maintenance logs and required documentation Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections Ensure compliance with FAA Part 43 and Part 145 regulations Coordinate with pilots, inspectors, and other maintenance staff Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment All other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance EDUCATION REQUIRED: High school or equivalent

PREFERRED

Previous experience with the Pilatus PC-12 Possess a valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airman’s Certificate. Possess a valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Medical Certificate. Avionics or NDT (non-destructive testing) knowledge Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Ability to meet all FAA requirements and approval for the Director of Maintenance Designation. Ten (10) plus years’ experience in aviation maintenance supervisor positions. At least 10 current years’ experience in commercial aviation maintenance leadership. Possess a valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe & Power plant (A&P) Certificate. Inspection Authorization (IA) license preferred. Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience maintaining turboprop aircraft Demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills Proven background of engaging and motivating employees at all levels to maintain a cohesive team and high employee retention

QUALIFICATIONS

FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification required High school diploma or equivalent; A&P school or military aviation maintenance training preferred Minimum 2 years hands-on aircraft maintenance experience (varies by employer) Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights/weekends if needed Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-critical environment with high attention to detail.
