Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Lake Charles, Louisiana. This full-time position involves providing routine and complex perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced clinical setting. The role requires independence, clinical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with the surgical team during various types of procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Evening shifts, 8 hours per shift, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred), 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty (preferred), BLS certification required, RN License in the state of employment or a compact license.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience within an operating room or perioperative nursing environment.
• Float: Only needed in the OR. Could be asked to float between different campuses within the organization.
• Additional Information: The candidate must demonstrate competence in perioperative nursing practices, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patients. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, documenting patient information, and providing patient and family education.
