Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed neuro medical/surgical telemetry unit with a 1:5 patient ratio
• Perform and assist with procedures including Stroke NIH assessments, EEGs, gastric decompression, and wound care
• Operate and monitor unit equipment including Welch Allyn vital sign monitors, COWs, Hoyer lifts, PCA pumps, CareView Virtual Sitter, Telepsych, and Teleneuro systems
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
• Complete 4 weekend shifts per schedule cycle; no on-call requirements
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including CNCs, LVNs, and PCTs across night shift operations

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Medical Surgical setting
• Navy scrubs required; hoop nose piercings not permitted per unit dress code

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with telemetry monitoring
• Familiarity with neuro medical/surgical patient populations
• Team-oriented, self-motivated work style
