Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | 13-Week Assignment | Shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend required | Holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Medical Surgical unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6 on nights
• Care for patients with diagnoses including total joint replacement, spinal surgery, urology procedures, abdominal surgeries (lap appy, bowel resection), bariatrics, and medical overflow
• Manage post-operative patients including early ambulation, wound drains (hemovacs, JP drains), colostomies, and PCA pumps
• Administer and monitor set-rate drips including occasional heparin drips and TPN; titration of drips is not required
• Conduct bedside shift report and collaborate with charge nurses, patient care techs, and remote telemetry monitoring staff
• Float as needed to medical and telemetry units, assisting with medical patients in those areas

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to work night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) on a 13-week contract schedule
• Comfort working with post-operative patients and managing wound drains and colostomies
• Willingness to float to medical and telemetry units as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior surgical, post-operative, or early ambulation experience strongly preferred
• Experience with PCA pumps and TPN administration
• Familiarity with remote telemetry monitoring environments
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
