Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team in Corvallis, Oregon. This role is crucial for providing direct, advanced nursing care to acutely and critically ill patients who are at high risk for actual or potential life-threatening health problems.

The ICU environment demands intensive monitoring, comprehensive assessments, and timely interventions. The ideal candidate will leverage their advanced knowledge and experience to manage complex patient cases, ensuring the highest standards of care in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to acutely and critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and intervention.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, interpret diagnostic data, and implement evidence-based care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for efficacy and adverse reactions.
• Operate and manage critical care equipment, including ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring systems, and infusion pumps.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on conditions, treatments, and recovery plans.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Current unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Healthcare Provider Level AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Verification of high school diploma or equivalent (due to College of American Pathologists (CAP) requirements for moderate complexity testing).

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
• Minimum of three (3) years of previous Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience.
