Summary Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, El Paso Field Office, Border Security Division, located in El Paso, Texas . Responsibilities This position will allow you to perform a variety of general clerical duties and provide administrative support to managers and staff. Typical work assignments include. Coordinating, developing, and disseminating information material to various target audiences. Preparing a variety of recurring and ad hoc budget and accounting reports based on established practice. Coordinating and monitoring the organization's property management and space utilization programs. Assisting with fleet program, incident management, and maintaining basic fleet records and receipts. Experience: You qualify for the GS-07 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Assisting in preparing press releases and planning for public affairs campaigns, e.g., arranges for meeting space and drafts handouts. Assisting in preparing budget requests by compiling data and preparing justification statements based on information provided by senior Mission Support Specialist. Assisting with routine procurements by preparing purchase orders and supporting documents. Maintaining the organization's personnel files and records. Assisting users in the organization with software, hardware, and automation problems.
