Special Education Teacher – Behavior Support

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a Behavior Support Program in the Blythewood, SC area . This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide individualized instruction and behavioral support while helping students develop the skills they need to succeed.

Position Details:

• Location: Blythewood, SC
• Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday
• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Contract: Through May 2027 or with notice of contract completion
• Caseload: Approximately 5–10 students
• Student Ages: 11–14
• School Sites: 1

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized special education instruction and behavioral support
• Develop and implement instruction aligned with IEP goals
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Serve as the Special Education Case Manager for assigned students
• Develop and maintain IEPs and required documentation
• Support students in developing academic, behavioral, and functional skills
• Collaborate with families, school staff, administrators, and related service providers
• Maintain a structured, positive, and supportive learning environment
• Use effective behavior strategies to promote student engagement and success

Qualifications:

• Current Multi- categorical/Emotional Disabilities (ED) teaching certification
• Special education or behavior support experience preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to support students with diverse behavioral and learning needs
• Collaborative and student-focused approach
