HealthTrust Workforce Solutions Regional is seeking a local contract nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a local contract nursing job in Asheville, North Carolina.

• Number of Beds - 40
• Type of staff:
  • Day Shift – 1 Charge Nurse/ 10 staff/bedside nurses/4 PCTs/1 Unit Secretary
  • Night Shift – 1 Charge Nurse/10 staff/bedside nurses/3 PCTs
• Patient Ratios –1:4; stretch staffing at 1:5 ratio
• Type of patients: patients with CHF, MI, CP, arrhythmia, Pulmonary Hypertension; valvular disease, endocarditis; DKA; post cardiac cath/stent; post pacer/ICD/ ablation.

• Type of equipment: Zoll, Baxter pump, lift equipments, bladder scanner;
  EMR - Cerner

   

  Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

• Stepdown or progressive care experience
• Telemetry experience

• Experience with titratable or cardiac IV medications like nitroglycerine, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutrex, insulin drip, heparin, bumex/Lasix; etc.

   

  Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.

• Experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin).

• Relief charge experience

   

  List typical procedures performed on unit(s): 

• Bedside Cardioversion

  REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

• BLS, ACLS

   

  Floating Area(s):

• All MedSurg units, Stepdown units, COVID unit, and ER holding.

Must have 1 year of recent experience working PCU, be available to work every other week and have an active state or compact RN license. Per diem positions are available as well. Please reach out if interested!
