Embedded Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Android BSP / Kernel Engineer with strong hands-on experience in AOSP, low-level kernel development, and device/driver integration . The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in SDLC , deep expertise in debugging complex hardware/software issues , and experience bringing up and integrating new hardware features on Android-based devices. Key Responsibilities Build, customize, and maintain AOSP (Android Open Source Project) environments Develop, modify, and debug Linux/Android kernel and device driver code Integrate and enable new hardware features on Android-based devices Work extensively with Android BSPs , including board bring-up, hardware integration, and platform-level debugging Debug complex issues across the kernel, drivers, HAL, firmware, and hardware/software interface Perform root-cause analysis of system-level and device-level issues Collaborate with hardware, firmware, platform, and software engineering teams throughout the SDLC Troubleshoot performance, stability, integration, and hardware compatibility issues Required Qualifications Strong hands-on experience with AOSP builds and Android platform development Android BSP experience is mandatory Expertise in low-level Linux/Android kernel development Hands-on experience modifying and debugging kernel and device driver code Strong expertise in system-level debugging and root-cause analysis Solid understanding of SDLC and software engineering processes Experience with hardware bring-up and hardware/software integration Strong C/C++ programming and low-level systems knowledge Ability to troubleshoot issues spanning hardware, firmware, drivers, kernel, and Android platform layers AR/XR experience is a plus , particularly experience integrating or supporting AR/XR hardware and devices #J-18808-Ljbffr Artech L.L.C.
