Responsibilities
- Prepare the OR with sterile technique, setting up instruments, supplies, and implants for ortho and major vascular procedures
- Assist surgeons and circulator during procedures, passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
- Perform instrument counts, handle specimen labeling, and ensure proper room turnover between cases
- Adapt to varying case schedules and assist with rapid readiness for scheduled and emergent cases
- Maintain equipment, verify instrument integrity, and adhere to patient safety and infection control standards
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team, anesthesia providers, and nursing staff to support safe, efficient patient care

Requirements
- Education: Associate degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology (required)
- Certification: NBSTSA or AST certification preferred; AHA BLS required
- Experience: Relevant acute care experience required
- Special experience: Must have ortho experience and major vascular experience
- Licensure: No specific state licensure required to state here; ensure applicable surgical technology credentials are active
- Other: Ability to work in a high-demand OR environment and participate in self-scheduled call as described
