The Therapist Assistant (Occupational or Physical) is a licensed professional whoprovides patient care under the direction of a licensed therapist within their respectivefield of expertise, and according to their scope of practice. Caseload is primarilyconsisting of the adult and geriatric population, but within certain responsibilities, theremay be inclusion of infants, children, and adolescents.

• Based on scope of practice, the Therapy Assistant must bea licensed Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA)
• Valid OTA license and registration with Stateof Illinois
• BLS certification through AHA required
• Graduate of an accredited licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant program
