“A Day in the Life”

As Team Lead you will lead a crew of employees in servicing and repairing modular buildings. Coordinate and prioritize work schedule for the team. Verify quality according to company standards. Work closely with other departments to ensure alignment of goals and timelines. Promote a culture of teamwork. mutual support and collaborative efforts.

“What You’ll Do”

• Coordinate and prioritize work schedule for production crew, assign modular mechanics tasks, learn/train as needed,
  and verify quality according to our standards.
• As a hands-on Lead Technician, perform preventative maintenance and construction on modular buildings to include, but not limited to, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, and cleaning
• Monitor the work of team members to meet productivity, quality and safety requirements and maintain accurate records of production activities
• Ensure team maintains tools, supplies and work area consistent with the area’s 5S checklist
• Participate in safety meetings and safety training of crew members. Carry out industry safety practices to include knowledge of OSHA requirements.
• Support mentoring and development of team by providing guidance and training to enhance skills and career growth.
• Provide continuous training of crew members and new employees; coaches and counsels team members as needed with regards to responsibilities of their positions
• Assist in developing and implement strategies to improve construction production efficiency and reduce costs
• Act as a backfill for other leaders when necessary
• Other duties as assigned

“Must Haves”

• Prior experience of at least 2 years in the construction or related industry and at least 1 year performing and leading general construction trades
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook). Basic knowledge of database management systems. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and technologies
• Able to read and understand blueprints, schematics, procedures and Company specific work orders, work instructions and floor plans provided
• Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to effectively guide and motivate a team
• Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and vendors
• Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to take initiative and being a self-starter in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated flexibility in handling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Ability to safely perform all tasks and understand Company’s safety policies and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative team environment
• Able to take, record and follow standard measurements and cut or separate materials to specific measurements or quantities. Ability to use both manual and power tools and follow operating guidelines
• Able to read Company’s construction documents (provided in English) and provide guidance to construction team to complete necessary work
• Able to work outside in variable weather conditions
• Valid Driver’s License

"Nice to Haves"

• Prior experience overseeing the work of a team of at least 2 or more employees desired
• Prior experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC or other specialties preferred
• Knowledge of current building codes to include 2016 CBC and 2018 IBC and ADA a plus.
• Knowledge of LEAN a plus
• Ability to complete material and labor take offs from blueprints a plus

• Position requires manual dexterity and the ability to maintain physical activity for most of the day
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and hold or lift a variety of objects
  • Able to carry, bend, stoop, turn, kneel, crawl, climb a ladder and other manual labor activities
