We partner with stakeholders throughout the business to transform complex people data into actionable intelligence that optimizes the employee lifecycle and supports better business outcomes.The Staff Data Analyst People Analytics OpportunityThis role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the design and delivery of people analytics solutions that directly impact workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and employee experience. You'll develop advanced predictive models, create scalable dashboards, and apply emerging AI technologies to solve complex workforce challenges while partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders.What you'll be doingAnalyze and report on the entire employee lifecycle—from hiring and onboarding through development and exit—by designing dashboards and reports that provide insights into hiring, attrition, engagement, performance, promotions, compensation, headcount, and organizational healthPartner with People Team leaders, stakeholders across the business, and data teams to translate business questions into analytical approaches, ensure data quality and governance, and deliver executive-ready insightsDesign, build, and maintain predictive analytics models that identify workforce trends, risks, and opportunities, including attrition prediction, workforce forecasting, employee lifecycle analysis, and talent pipeline analyticsApply advanced statistical techniques—including regression analysis, clustering, forecasting, survival analysis, and segmentation—to solve complex workforce challenges and inform strategic decision-makingAnalyze employee feedback from surveys, onboarding, exit interviews, and other listening channels using Natural Language Processing and text analytics to identify emerging themes and actionable insightsExplore and prototype Generative AI use cases that automate narrative reporting, summarize workforce trends, and enhance decision support while maintaining governance and data privacy standardsWhat you'll bring to the role7+ years of experience in People Analytics, HR Analytics, Workforce Analytics, Data Science, or a related analytics disciplineAdvanced proficiency with data visualization and reporting tools, data warehousing platforms, spreadsheet and SQL querying, and enterprise HR platforms Having experience with our direct tech stack is highly preferred:Data visualization and reporting:TableauData warehousing:SnowflakeSpreadsheet and querying: Excel, SQLEnterprise HR platforms:Workday, ServiceNow, GreenhouseDemonstrated expertise applying advanced statistical methods including regression, clustering, forecasting, and text analyticsExcellent data visualization and storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex findings into clear business recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiencesProven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, influence decisions through data, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentBachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)And extra credit if you have experience in any of the following!Strong programming skills in Python and/or R for statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and automationFamiliarity with Generative AI, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and other emerging AI technologies applied to analyticsExperience implementing sound data management and governance practices across large, complex datasets#LI-MC1#P11599_ The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $149,000—$205,000 USDBelow is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, Illinois, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
