AR/ Cash Applications Clerk
Our client, a growing organization in Boca Raton, is seeking a detail-oriented AR / Cash Applications Specialist to join their accounting team. This is a fully onsite, temp-to-hire opportunity for someone with strong accounts receivable and cash posting experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Responsibilities
- Apply daily cash receipts, ACH payments, wires, lockbox transactions, and credit card payments accurately and timely.
- Research and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, overpayments, and payment discrepancies.
- Reconcile customer accounts and investigate outstanding balances.
- Process customer deductions, chargebacks, and payment disputes as needed.
- Assist with daily AR activities, including collections support and account maintenance.
- Reconcile cash postings to bank activity and accounting records.
- Work closely with customers, internal departments, and management to resolve payment issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Support month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable and cash applications.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of Accounts Receivable and/or Cash Applications experience.
- Experience posting and applying payments in a high-volume environment.
- Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to research discrepancies and resolve issues independently.
- Proficient with Excel, including sorting, filtering, and basic formulas.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
