Registered Nurse (RN) - ER

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Schedule: 7pm-7am, every 3rd weekend and holiday

Assignment Details: Minimum 1 year of experience required

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state
• ACLS upon hire OR must hold an active BLS card and obtain AHA ACLS within 60 days of hire
• AHA PALS within six (6) months of hire
• TNCC, ENPC, and CEN preferred

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions and patient goals.
• Provide patient care based on established standards, protocols, and policies.
• Respect and promote patient dignity and self-regard.
• Teach patients and families according to identified learning needs.
• Collaborate with team members for discharge planning and support.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
• Administer medications and intravenous therapy safely and according to protocols.
• Identify and report any risk to patient safety or ethical issues in care.
• Perform initial assessments and triage protocol upon patient arrival.
• Recognize abnormal laboratory and diagnostic results and notify the physician.
