Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for a Sonographer to join our team at  RMA of New York Long Island in Garden City, New York and will float to Melville, New York and New Hyde Park, New York (Lake Success) as needed. 

• Schedule: Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to approximately 8:30 AM (shift length may vary); including a weekend and holiday rotation
• Compensation: up to $49 per hour (commensurate with experience)

In this role, the Sonographer will:

• Performs detailed examinations of the anatomy/pathology
• Makes necessary measurements and calculations
• Performs transvaginal OB sonograms
• Assists with sonography in the OR, when necessary
• Documents results utilizing our electronic medical records
• Communicates effectively with the other team members
• Establishes personal rapport with patients
• Provides explanations of procedures

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for professionals who bring both technical skill and a deep sense of responsibility to the care experience—individuals who thrive in environments where excellence, empathy, and accountability matter.

Qualifications and Skills Include:

• Completion of formal Ultrasound training in an AMA approved school, and meeting the requirements for registry by ARDMS
• RDMS/RVT required
• Understanding and ability to follow MD protocols for procedures
• Ability to effectively operate all pieces of equipment utilized within the scope of this job
• Prior experience with fertility patients strongly preferred
• Minimum of two years of experience as an ultrasound technologist in women’s health
