Business and Operations Manager - Part-Time Chesterton Academy of the St. Croix Valley Description Chesterton Academy of the St. Croix Valley seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Business and Operations Manager to coordinate the financial, administrative, and facilities functions of our Catholic classical high school. Reporting to the Head of School, this position ensures that daily business operations are organized, accurate, timely, and marked by responsible stewardship. Qualifications Four years of office, business, or administrative experience in a school, Catholic parish, nonprofit, or similar setting preferred. Experience with bookkeeping, billing, and financial recordkeeping; familiarity with payroll processes preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with careful attention to detail and deadlines. Proficiency with spreadsheets and office software, and the ability to learn financial and administrative systems. Discretion and sound judgment in handling confidential financial, family, and personnel information. Ability to work independently and collaboratively while supporting the school's Catholic mission. Responsibilities Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, including invoices, payments, deposits, and account reconciliations. Coordinate tuition billing, maintain payment records, and communicate with families regarding accounts. Support payroll processing and maintain related records. Assist the Head of School with budget tracking and routine financial reporting. Coordinate purchasing, vendor relationships, and facilities maintenance and service needs. Maintain organized business records and complete related administrative duties and special projects assigned by the Head of School. Position Details Employment: Part-time, year-round position; 12 months. Hours: ~20hrs/wk Compensation: $30,000 annually. Reports to: Head of School.
