See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality: Grade: 4 Position Overview: Your primary responsibility will be to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot molds used in the production of boat components. This includes performing regular inspections, cleaning, and preventive maintenance to ensure molds are in optimal condition and ready for use. You will also be responsible for identifying and addressing any issues that may arise with the molds, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining production schedules. Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot molds used in the production of boat components Perform routine inspections of molds to identify wear, damage, or performance issues Clean molds and apply preventive maintenance to ensure readiness for production Diagnose mold-related issues and complete timely repairs to minimize production downtime Ensure molds meet quality standards and are in optimal condition prior to use Support production schedules by responding quickly to mold issues and maintenance needs Document inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs as required Follow established safety procedures and work practices while handling molds and materials Safely operate forklifts and/or tugger vehicles to transport, stage, load, and unload molds, materials, and finished components within the facility. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in mold maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or related mechanical work preferred Working knowledge of preventive maintenance practices Ability to identify and troubleshoot mechanical or surface defects in molds Basic understanding of production environments and manufacturing schedules Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to perform physical tasks associated with mold maintenance, including standing, lifting, and working in a production environment Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to support production demands Working Conditions: Work is performed in a lamination and mold preparation environment within a boat manufacturing facility Regular exposure to fiberglass, resins, gel coats, solvents, and mold release chemicals Environment may be hot, humid, and physically demanding, with airborne particulates and strong odors Requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, and working around large molds and tooling Must be able to wear required PPE, including respirators, gloves, eye protection, and protective clothing The anticipated hiring range for this position is $21.42 to $24.05, hourly.
