The hours and location you'll work in as a Diesel Mechanic with WM Monday – Friday (Occasional Saturday) 10:00am – 6:30pm We’re committed to offering you stable hours for the financial security and work‑life balance you need. The normal setting for this job is a repair / maintenance shop at our Cambridge, MN, United States hauling site. Each day you'll fix the trucks and equipment that serve over 20 million customers across the USA. As a Diesel Mechanic you can take pride in watching a truck roll out of the shop, knowing your local community will be supported by your hard work. Our mechanics take their careers to the next level by working on equipment that requires a high level of skill – and determination. You'll be using modern tools and procedures to deliver exceptional maintenance on both diesel equipment and, at some locations, on our growing fleet of CNG trucks. What you'll do as a Sr. Diesel Mechanic Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment. Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts. Perform your work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs). Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns. Conduct safety checks on vehicles – the safety of every single employee and the people in our communities is our number one priority. Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times. Assist senior Mechanics in the completion of project work. Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Requirements for the role of Sr. Diesel Mechanic 4 years of relevant work experience A valid driver's license, with a clean driving record Be over 18 years of age.
