Retina and Vitreous Ophthalmology Specialist - Faculty (Open Rank)

The Medical College of Wisconsin 's Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences is seeking an academically oriented board certified/eligible Retina and Vitreous Ophthalmologist to join our expanding team. This position will be primarily located at the Eye Institute, Milwaukee, WI (Froedtert Hospital Campus) with potential days per week at satellite clinics. We are comprised of nationally and internationally renowned, dedicated group of faculty and staff with a strong commitment to clinical care.

Position Highlights:

• While this practice is largely adult surgical retina, some commitment to caring for pediatric patients is necessary.

• The position's clinical activity is primarily undertaken at the Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin Eye Institute with possibly one or two half-days per week at satellite clinics.

• Ophthalmology faculty members provide clinical coverage at the Children's Wisconsin, Froedtert Hospital, and Zablocki Veterans Administration Medical Center.

• Seeking candidates with strong clinical and surgical expertise.

• Requires well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ideal candidate demonstrates enthusiasm, professionalism, and collaborative spirit.

• Commitment to advancing MCW's academic missions in clinical care, education, and scholarly activity.

• Performs other duties as assigned by Chair or Chair-Designate.

Schedule:

• Full-time faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.

• Provide coverage during core business hours with some flexibility required, as necessary, to accommodate business needs.

Qualifications:

• Must be a licensed MD or equivalent.

• Be board Certified/Eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

• Be eligible for medical licensure in Wisconsin.
