This is a high-impact role within a small firm environment where organization, accountability, and efficiency are critical to success. The firm maintains a heavy caseload (approximately 150–170 active cases). While the attorney drafts the majority of pleadings and orders (approximately 85%), the paralegal plays a key role in keeping cases moving forward and ensuring all procedural and logistical aspects are handled with precision. Key Responsibilities Manage a high-volume family law caseload with a strong emphasis on accuracy and efficiency Handle all aspects of discovery, including tracking and deadlines Maintain detailed calendaring and docket management Coordinate and schedule hearings, mediations, and trials Prepare and organize case files for hearings, mediations, and trial Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and opposing counsel Ensure deadlines and case activity are consistently tracked and met Technology WordPerfect FormBuilder (similar to ProDoc) Outlook Excel Qualifications Prior family law experience required, 5 or more years Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment Team-oriented with the ability to work independently Work Environment This is a fast-paced and demanding practice with high expectations for performance, organization, and accountability.
