The job:

As a cook helper, you play an important role in supporting culinary operations and maintaining strong knowledge of food products and ingredients. You will assist the kitchen team in delivering consistent, high-quality food while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.

Through your positive attitude, teamwork, and attention to detail, you help create a welcoming atmosphere for both guests and colleagues. Every task you take on contributes to delivering exceptional guest experiences and ensuring every plate reflects the highest MGM Resorts standards of excellence.

The day-to-day:

• Ensure requisitions are processed properly and placed in designated area
• Maintain solid knowledge of food products
• Identify and safely use kitchen equipment
• Regularly run for food and restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service
• Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
• Assist the pantry worker, cook, master cook and chef as needed in execution of service
• Work as a team, assist guests and employees with their needs and inquiries
• Perform other job-related duties as requested

The ideal candidate:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 6+ months of prior relevant experience preferred
• On-call position with full flexibility required to support operational needs across different shifts
• Flexible availability is required, including working varied shifts such as mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
