Required Procedures Obstetrics

• Low Risk Pregnancy (History of Twins, Toxemia, Pyelonephritis, etc.)
• High Risk Pregnancy (Toxemia, Diabetes, Class II or Higher Cardiacs, Chronic Lung Problems, Chronic Renal Disease, etc.)
• FHR Interpretation – NST/CST/FSE
• OB ultrasounds – Performance of Interpretation
• OB ultrasounds – Performance of Level I/Screening (Viability)
• OB ultrasounds – Performance of Level II/Targeted (Anatomic)

Labor and Delivery

• Routine Delivery – Vaginal, Low Forceps
• Decision-Making for C-Section
• Complicated Delivery – C-Section, Breech, Multiple Births, Abruptions, etc.
• VBACs
• Repair of 3rd & 4th Degree Lacerations

Gynecology

• Operative/Major – Ectopic Pregnancy, Ovary Removal, Cystectomy, Extensive LOA's
• Laparoscopic Diagnostic/Minor Only – Tubal Ligation, LOA's, Chromal Tubation
• Surgical Gynecology – Open
• Office/Minor Gynecology – IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, Cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.

Job Requirements

• Board: Board Certified
• Licenses: Ohio License
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Other Qualifications: Self-Query NPDB (within 30 days)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide obstetrical and gynecological care for laboring patients in L&D unit.
• Manage high-risk pregnancies and perform necessary procedures including C-sections.
• Supervise and teach OB residents on labor and delivery.
• Collaborate with midwives and outpatient OBs.
• Participate in 24-hour in-house call shifts, covering emergency deliveries and urgent gynecologic surgeries.
