Postdoctoral Scholar - Structural Biology

Salary: $61,008.00 - $69,180.00 Annually Application Deadline: Aug 15, 2026 The Xu Lab at The Ohio State University is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar with primary expertise in cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM). The position focuses on structural mechanisms of viral entry and cancer-associated glycoproteins and antibody–antigen interactions to support vaccine and therapeutic development. Candidates with X-ray crystallography expertise and a strong publication record, along with demonstrated experience successfully leading multiple structural biology projects, will also be considered. Qualifications Recent Ph.D. graduate in Structural Biology Strong expertise in cryo-EM Demonstrated, hands‑on expertise in recombinant protein expression and purification, which is a critical core requirement of the position Strong publication record in peer‑reviewed journals Proven ability to work independently with a strong work ethic, persistence, and consistent productivity Submit CV, Cover letter with research statement, and three references.
