About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour; Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required Previous travel experience preferred License: Current RN license required Certifications: AHA BLS ACLS NRP AWHONN Intermediate Must-Have: Must be able to float within the unit as needed Description: This position requires 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience. Previous travel experience is preferred. Candidates will need to float within the unit as required. Weekend shifts are expected based on unit needs. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate are required. The RN will be responsible for providing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit. Charting will be done using the Epic system. Patient ratios are 1:2 during day and night shifts. Travelers may be required to float within the metro region based on the facility's needs. The unit consists of 19 rooms. The RN will assist with a variety of labor and delivery tasks and care considerations. Participation in interdisciplinary support services is expected. Candidates should be familiar with a variety of labor and delivery procedures. Logistics of scheduling include multiple shifts across the week. Pre-approved time off is limited to a maximum of 10 days during the contract period. The role may involve various complex situations requiring clinical judgment and skill. Candidates should be prepared to adapt to the needs of the unit and facility. All facility-specific training must be completed within the first week of assignment.
