We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager who wants more than a job. Position Summary The Senior Operations Manager serves as the operational leader of the business and reports directly to the Owner. This individual is responsible for overseeing all production operations, managing the Operations Manager, driving profitability, developing systems, improving customer satisfaction, and building a high-performing team. This is a leadership role for someone who thinks like an owner and understands that operational excellence drives company growth. Success will be measured by profitability, customer satisfaction, project execution, team performance, and operational efficiency. Required Qualifications Minimum 7 years of leadership experience Minimum 5 years managing operations, project management, production, or construction teams Strong financial acumen and understanding of job costing Proven experience managing people and driving accountability Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills Strong organizational and planning abilities Ability to build systems and improve processes Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Preferred Qualifications Residential remodeling experience Exterior construction experience Siding, roofing, restoration, windows, painting, or homebuilding experience Experience managing subcontractors Experience scaling a growing company Experience with CRM and project management systems P&L responsibility Organizational Structure Owner / President ↓ Senior Operations Manager / Director of Operations ↓ Operations Manager ↓ Project Coordinators ↓ Subcontractors, Vendors, and Field Teams Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Manage and mentor the Operations Manager Improve and maintain company systems and SOPs Coordinate scheduling, production planning, and resource allocation Resolve escalated project issues Build accountability throughout the organization Lead all production and operational activities Financial Performance Protect and improve gross margins Monitor job costing and profitability Reduce warranty and callback costs Improve labor efficiency and productivity Manage material procurement and vendor relationships Ensure change orders are identified, documented, and captured Team Leadership Recruit, train, and develop team members Conduct performance reviews and coaching sessions Build future leaders within the organization Create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement Customer Experience Ensure exceptional homeowner communication Oversee quality control processes Resolve customer concerns professionally and effectively Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings and reviews Safety & Compliance Maintain OSHA and company safety standards Ensure proper documentation and compliance Promote a culture of safety throughout the organization What Success Looks Like This role is measured by objective performance metrics, including: Financial Metrics Net Profit Performance Change Order Capture Rate Gross Margin Performance Production Metrics On-Time Project Completion Schedule Adherence Production Capacity Utilization Warranty Callback Reduction Customer Metrics Customer Satisfaction Scores Online Reviews and Reputation Team Metrics Employee Retention Team Development Safety Performance Compensation & Long-Term Opportunity This is not a traditional salary position. We are seeking a leader who wants to participate in the value they help create and who is motivated by performance, profitability, and growth. Compensation Structure Base Salary: $75,000-$95,000 Quarterly Performance Bonus: Up to $60,000 annually based on operational scorecard performance. Target Earnings: $125,000-$175,000+ Exceptional performers may exceed these earnings through bonus and profit-sharing opportunities. Performance Metrics Driving Bonus Compensation Quarterly bonuses are tied directly to: Gross Margin Performance Net Profit Performance Customer Satisfaction On-Time Completion Warranty Reduction Team Retention Safety Performance Production Efficiency Profit Sharing Senior leaders who consistently perform at a high level may become eligible for participation in a company profit-sharing program tied directly to the overall success of the business.
