We are excited to train the right candidates for our team! A day in the life The shift leader is responsible for directing an efficient workflow and overseeing a variety of store operations duties. This position will serve as a role model for the baristas. You will also be working with the store manager and other shift leaders to ensure that baristas are properly trained and orders are on track so our customers have the best experience possible! Free and discounted drinks and food on shift Food and drink discount when off shift Schedule is available for up to 30 hours per week (full-time hours not available at this time) Free Scooter's apparel, easy-to-follow dress code Direct deposit payroll bi-weekly Leadership training programs and future store manager opportunities available to promote upward mobility within the franchise Duties & responsibilities Direct store operations to achieve established sales growth metrics and participate in cultivating a culture that seeks continuous improvement and deepens our relationship with our customers Perform shift opening and closing duties as assigned Greet customers, take orders, prepare and serve beverages, as well as various food offerings, in accordance with established service standards (i.e. coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, teas, pastries) Clean, sanitize and maintain the store Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed Stock and replenish food, beverages, and utensils as needed Ensure consistent product availability by keeping adequate inventory Efficiently serve customers by being knowledgeable of offerings Stay up-to-date with personalized online training Assist with receiving and unloading deliveries Communicate with baristas, store manager and franchisee as needed Additional duties as assigned The Washington, Indiana store is targeted to open in late October or early November 2025. Paid training will occur prior to store opening. You are applying to work with a franchisee of Scooter's Coffee. If hired, the franchisee will be your only employer. Franchisees are independent business owners who set their own terms of employment, including wage, training, and benefit programs, which can vary between franchisees. Workdays are Monday-Sunday and holidays. We are closed Christmas Day and close early on Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.
