Step into a fulfilling contract role supporting students in a dynamic educational setting near Wilmington, MA. In this hands-on position at an intermediate school, you’ll work alongside skilled educators to provide classroom support for a caseload of 4th and 5th grade students with autism, helping to create an environment where every learner can thrive.

Your daily schedule will total 30 hours per week, offering consistency and the chance to build strong connections with students and colleagues. You’ll make a direct impact by assisting with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs, all while applying your specialized experience in special education and Safety Care practices.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience with 4th-5th grade learners, especially in SPED classroom settings
• Previous experience supporting students with autism and developmental differences
• Proficiency in deploying de-escalation and Safety Care strategies
• Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication skills and a supportive, adaptable approach

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and classroom modifications
• Offer direct support to students during lessons, transitions, and classroom routines
• Assist with data collection and progress monitoring for students’ academic and behavioral goals
• Foster a respectful, engaging classroom culture that promotes student independence
• Support safe and effective classroom management strategies on a daily basis
