Machinist

Job Description Job Description Program CNC lathes and mills based on part drawings. Program, set-up and operate computer controlled lathes and mills to fabricate metal parts. Study and interpret drawings, shop manuals, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. Identify required tooling, set gauges, and perform machine set-up based on job requirements. Manufacture parts as outlined on drawings and part specifications. Inspect parts to confirm conformance to specifications. Perform daily and monthly maintenance tasks. Requirements Minimum 5 years lathe and mill experience. Experience with Haas and Mazak equipment required. Must be able to program most parts, including parts with complex designs. Mazatrol experience needed. High school diploma or GED. Prefer CNC Machine Operator Certificate. Must have strong command of blueprint reading including an understanding of engineering drawings and understanding/interpreting customer specifications. Must have working knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used for machining.
