Machinist

Broussard, LA| Full-Time| $15-$25/hr.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Machinist to join our team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating manual and/or CNC machines to manufacture precision parts and components used in industrial and oilfield applications. The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, dependable, and committed to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced shop environment.

Duties:

Set up and operate manual and/or CNC lathes, mills, and machining equipment
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure proper tolerances and specifications
Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for machining operations
Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment clean and organized
Maintain accurate production and inspection records

Requirements:

Previous machining experience required
Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
CNC programming experience is a plus
Ability to work independently and efficiently
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a shop environment

Schedule:

Monday - Thursday: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Friday: 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Pay:

$15-$25/hr. DOE
